Op dit moment, liggen we op La Palma, in de haven van Santa Cruz Onze Zwitserse groep is al weer een week naar huis.
Met de groep hebben we na Zapata nog Santa Cruz de Tenerife bezocht, Puerto de Vueltas of wel Gran Valle Rey (zuid Gomera, betekent: Vallei van de grote Koning. ) San Sebastian de la Gomera en als laatste Las Palmas op Gran Canaria. En omdat het weer zo heerlijk was, hebben de jongeren veel kunnen zwemmen en body surfen.
Sinds een paar dagen heeft het weer een dipje. Het regent af en toe, het is een graad of 20, maar het mooie weer komt weer terug hebben we al gezien.
De crew heeft gewisseld, Gijs is naar Nederland en Jet is nu aan boord. Tot nu toe vullen we onze dagen met opruimen, schoonmaken, onderhoud machine kamer en kleine klusjes. Jet heeft in Nederland samen met At Sea Sailtraining onze agenda voor het komend seizoen klaar gemaakt. Het wordt een jaar van vele Tall Ship Races, vele landen en lange afstanden! Met weer totaal nieuwe gebieden voor de Tecla, voor meer info: kijk onder kalender en/of nieuwsbrief op onze site. En nu is ze bezig met een nieuwe site opzet, heel spannend natuurlijk, daar zal iedereen binnenkort meer over horen en zien.
Gijs zal in Nederland onder anderen onze zeilmaker helpen met het maken van onze nieuwe zeilen. En ook over dit mooie project binnen kort meer!
Voorlopig ligt het schip op La Palma, het eiland met de meeste palmbomen en ook daar over later meer!


At this moment, we are on La Palma, in the harbor of Sante Cruz. Our Swiss group has left the ship for a week now.With the group, we visited after Zapata, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Puerto de Vueltas or also called, Gran Valle Rey (valley of the great king) San Sebastean de la Gomera and we finished our 10 weeks sailing trip on Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. And because of the beautiful weather, the youngsters have been swimming and body surfing a lot! Since a few days, the weather is not so nice. There are showers during the day, it is about 20 degrees, but the nice weather will return this weekend, we saw on several weather sites.
The crew changed, Gijs is back to Holland and Jet is now on board. Till now we fill our days with clear and cleaning the ship, the engine room and other little jobs. Jet already made our calendar for next year, together with At Sea Sail Training, in Holland. It will be a year with a lot of Tall Ship Races, a lot of countries and a lot of miles! And now Jet is busy with a New site for the ship, very exciting of course, you will hear and see more about it very soon! Gijs will help our sail maker in Holland, making new sails for the Tecla! And also about this project we will keep you informed!
For now, the ship will stay on La Palma, the island with the most palm trees of all the Canary Islands, in the coming weeks we will tell more about this also!
